Israel continues attacks on Palestinian children
Israeli forces have continued to systematically attack Palestinian children, especially those participating in peaceful protests.
Recent protests began after the killing of twenty two-year-old Palestinian Mahmoud al-Titi, from the al-Fuwar refugee camp near Hebron. Mahmoud was killed while peacefully protesting against the escalation of attacks on the al-Aqsa sanctuary.
Israeli police have responded brutally to protests, indiscriminately using teargas and steel-coated rubber bullets. Israeli forces have also repeatedly invaded the Palestinian controlled H1 area – which under the Oslo accords the Israeli army are not permitted to enter.
