End the Cycle of Violence – Join the Cycle for Peace!

Israels illegal occupation of Palestine causes a brutal cycle of violence which affects the lives of every Palestinian civilian and prevents any chance of peace in the Middle East.

In 2008, two unique and exciting events will mark the 60th anniversary of al Nakba the Palestinian catastrophe when the ethnic cleansing of Palestine began in 1948:

1. The Peace Cycle – Palestine

This is an amazing opportunity for cyclists to visit Palestine to show solidarity, cycle alongside Palestinian cyclists and learn about the realities of life under occupation

When?  14th August to 31st August 2008

Where? Starting in Amman Jordan, and cycling through Arab villages in Israel before touring the occupied West Bank meeting with groups, individuals and families

How? Just raise the costs of the trip plus a donation towards humanitarian charities in Palestine

2. The Peace Cycle – Europe

Cyclists from all over Europe will converge on Brussels for 2 days of media events and demonstrations to demand the European Parliament takes action to end the occupation and give peace a chance in the Middle East

When? Sunday 7th & Monday 8th September 2008

Where? The European Parliament, Brussels

How?  Arrive in Brussels by Sunday 7th September
