Nablus, Palestine News Network:
After an operation that Israeli forces very publicly coined “Winter Heat” last Sunday, and a withdrawal early Thursday that was equally as publicized, Israeli forces have reinvaded Nablus.
After a day and a half reprieve the Old City is again under siege. Beginning Friday night 35 military vehicles also stormed the Ras Al Ein and Martyr’s Field areas. Members of the armed resistance began fighting back early this morning.
Three people are injured, including 20 year old Issam Bakri. His left leg was amputated in the hospital early Saturday and medical sources describe his condition as critical.
An eyewitness reported that the military vehicles withdrew from the Saha neighborhood, but left soldiers in the area. The atmosphere was heavy with fear, the man described, as it seemed an ambush was in the making.
Israeli forces also raided Al Quds Street and stormed homes. They took two young men from the Mansour family to unknown locations.
