Friends of Al-Aqsa Calls on British Government to Demand an End to Collective Punishment and Detention of Palestinians

Friends of Al-Aqsa are gravely concerned at the Israeli atrocities being carried out in the Gaza Strip.

The destruction of electrical power generators, restriction of fuel supply and destruction of bridges has resulted in hundreds of thousands Palestinians being punished.

We would like to remind our government that collective punishment is against Geneva Convention and therefore we need to do everything in our power to put a stop at the Israeli atrocities, said Ismail Patel, Chairman of Friends of Al-Aqsa.

The illegal detention of members of Palestinian government is also a grave breach of democracy which Israel should not be allowed to continue.

Friends of Al-Aqsa calls upon its supporters to lobby the Foreign Minister and their respective MPs on the matter.

We further call upon you to attend a vigil on Friday 30th at 5.30pm, Parliament Square, London.
